We know how important and healthy it is for children to have friends. In fact, finding friends who have things in common with you is one of the key factors in overcoming being bullied and building confidence. It’s something Theatre of Peace and I talk about with students all the time: how and where can you make new friends? So, when I heard about Friendometry.com, I couldn’t wait to learn more!

Friendometry.com is a website for parents that’s aimed at finding friends for children who have experienced peer rejection or have difficulty finding friends. I recently met the founder, Dr. Daniel Kriz, who is a pediatric neuropsychologist. Dan explained that the website is parent driven and safe: parents create an anonymous profile of their child, and it posts in their geographical area. Then, parents communicate with other parents anonymously – internally through the website – until they want to have their kids meet each other.

Friendometry.com was recently featured as one of Additude Magazine’s top products. They say Friendometry is, “Like an online dating site but for kids who need friends.” Check out the article by clicking this link.
